Think of your favorite wave experience, whether you were out with the guys on a dawn patrol, or just out for a quick session. You found the perfect wave. Light offshore breeze combined with a low tide sucking out to make a clean paper-thin glassy barrel.

Ok, check it out. We know that the wave machine is designed to produce an infinite array of textured landscapes, as in the ocean floor bottom. By mapping a world class break (i.e. Pipeline) from the ocean floor’s perspective, we can then translate this information to the array of pins. Think of it as a servo device. When you have two servos that are connected to each other, the remote servo responds by changes in phase. We can do this for each pin, but instead of using servos, we use digital data. The digital data takes the preset information of the ocean floor, transfers this data to a server and then translates it to the pins via digital data transfer. Another example is by looking at the pin device I described in the content section. The pins are moved, or modulated by the shape that they are taking, or emulating. Now take this image and apply it to the wave machine. This array of pins will be modulated by the information from the image that is stored on a server.
